The right candidate will be a self-starter with a positive attitude in a team atmosphere. This position is responsible for new model/year fitment for existing product CAD design and drafting. The ideal candidate will have experience with Solidworks, FeatureCAM (CNC Programming) and CNC machining.  

Primary Job Functions:

  • Design product fitments for existing product families for new model/years
  • Design and develop new products, including assemblies and components
  • Collaborate with leadership team to verify feasibility and priority of new fitments and new products based on market research and customer feedback/requests.
  • Lead new product introduction projects, manage project  schedules and timelines, coordinate with department team leads to allocate resources as needed to ensure successful launch
  • Create 3D models, 2D prints of components and assemblies
  • Verify fitments with 3D printed parts or first articles
  • Create, Update and maintain technical product data (drawings, documents, product instruction sheets)
  • Assist Production team in the development of production processes and procedures, research and collaborate on manufacturing technologies and techniques
  • Provide technical information to customers and Customer Service/Sales to support technical fitment questions, requests and issues, promote customer service excellence
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Ability to oversee R&D projects, new products and other assignments as required
  • Provide pertinent information for determining implementing new processes or machinery
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, demonstrate flexibility with changing work flows



  • Six years combined experience in design, machining, and CAM programming
  • CAD design work experience required (Solidworks preferred)
  • CAM programming experience desired (FeatureCAM preferred)
  • Mechanical knowledge of powersports/recreational vehicles (ie dirt bikes, motorcycles, UTV’s, etc)
  • Familiar with bill of materials, product life cycle management, lean principles
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Database and/or MRP experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organization, time management and project management skills
  • Ability to effectively use hand tools and equipment
  • Attention to detail, contribute to a safe working environment


Work Schedule

Monday through Friday 8-5pm


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift, push, pull large objects 25lbs or heavier, must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Employment Details:

This position reports to the R&D Manager and is an hourly position working Monday through Friday 8-5pm, or otherwise as approved.
